Click on the below links for details: Livestock Division Updates and Notices: Jackson County Youth Fair Heifer Palpation and Mandatory Questionnaire Sessions Dates Set The Heifer palpation date for the 2010 Jackson County Youth Fair has been set for September 25, 2010 at 8:00am at the Edna Livestock Auction Barn. Dr. Aaron Wilfert of Jackson County Veterinary Clinic will be performing the palpations. A pregnancy test MUST be performed no more than 2 weeks prior to the show stating open, bred, or exposed. All exhibitors are strongly encouraged to have their heifers palpated on this date. If you choose not to, you must notify the chairman two days prior to having your heifers palpated so the vet of your choice can be contacted and given requirements of the show (ex. Brucellosis and age verification and palpation estimate). The vet will be contacted to retrieve this information. All heifer exhibitors are required to attend at least 2 out of 3 events (first weigh-in, palpation, and/or awards ceremony). A sign in sheet will be kept at each event. Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the show and sale. The MANDATORY questionnaire sessions have been set for Sunday, September 26, 2010 and Tuesday, September 28, 2010 between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm at the Edna Livestock Auction Barn. The questionnaire counts for up to 10 points of your total score. Failure to attend one of these two sessions will result in disqualification form the show and sale.
